Dawn Donchey joined the clarinet section of the SJAWE in January of 1999. A graduate of Ocean City High School, and a 1992 graduate of West Chester University of PA, she has studied clarinet with Kathy McReady, Ron Poorman, Terri Guidetti, Christopher Disanto and Richard Boerlin.  While at West Chester, she was a four year member of the Wind Ensemble and Marching Band.  She was also chosen to be a member of the 1991 National Intercollegiate Band under the direction of Alfred Reed.  After graduation, Dawn taught general, instrumental, and choral music in the Egg Harbor City Schools.  She left that position to raise her two sons, Andrew and Michael.  Dawn currently holds the positions of  Librarian and Recording Secretary with SJAWE.  She is also the music director at Christ Episcopal Church in Somers Point.  Dawn lives in Egg Harbor Township with her husband Arthur and their two children.
