Gary Sita attended Duquesne University
in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and has studied clarinet and saxophone
with Harry Baker, Benny Goodman Orchestra, and Nestor Koval,
Principal clarinetist with the Pittsburgh Symphony. He
has been Music Director of the United Methodist Church in Somers
Point for the past 15 years and has organized and directed several
choral festivals both locally and in the Pittsburgh area. He
has performed with dance and club bands locally and in Pittsburgh
since 1970. Currently, he performs and records with local Christian
artist Bill Christman. Gary has been a first clarinetist
and member of the South Jersey Area Wind Ensemble Board of Directors
since its inception in 1997. He serves as Corresponding Secretary
of the band and as a first clarinetist.
Mr. Sita is also Assistant Marching Band Director
of Mainland Regional High School's Mustang Marching Band, has guest conducted
and adjudicated locally, and teaches private woodwind students in his
Northfield home. |
