Side by Side - May 4th, 2025
The South Jersey Area Wind Ensemble invites superior high school and college student musicians to join the band for an annual concert during which the students sit side-by-side with their teachers and adult musicians. A college band director or US Washington service band conductor has traditionally shared the conducting. Students are invited by members and the board of SJAWE and must be of region/All-State band ability level.
There are three Monday evening rehearsals and a Sunday afternoon concert. The rehearsals will be held at the Atlantic County Institute of Technology at 5080 Atlantic Avenue in Mays Landing from 7:00PM to 9:00PM. The concert will be performed at ACIT.
Attendance at ALL rehearsals is required. If you are sick for one of the Monday night rehearsals, please send a remind text and report emergency absences through our website under “members” and “report an absence.”

Monday, March 10th - Side by Side Rehearsal - 7-9pm
Monday, March 24 - Side by Side Rehearsal - 7-9pm
Monday, April 14th - Side by Side Rehearsal - 7-9pm
Sunday, May 4th - CONCERT - 3pm (report 2pm)
